Breathwork

Breathwork has been around for thousands of years being used to change physical, emotional, and mental states. The most well-known perhaps being Pranayama breathing used in yoga and meditation.

Today’s modern society can keep the body and mind in a constant state of alert; survival mode where high levels of adrenaline can result in shallow upper chest breathing which keeps our minds over-active and creates a disconnect from our bodies. This can create a variety of symptoms including anxiety, depression, increased heart rate, poor sleep, depleted adrenals and a stressed nervous system that makes it hard to be present and healthy.

Therapeutic breath-work calms and re-sets the nervous system allowing previously held tension and emotions to be released without the need of years of talk therapy.
